Description
Vienkoči dishes are made of hardwood species growing in the Gauja National Park. The dishes are made of green wood. Gradually drying them, they have acquired their final shape. Black dishes get their color from burning. All dishes are treated with bee propolis and wax, which gives them a juicier shade, protective layer and smell. Various deciduous trees are used in the production of wooden dishes – elm, oak, maple, linden, birch, mountain ash, ivy.
Dishes can be washed in lukewarm water without the use of detergents. In the case of intensive use, the protective layer of wax must be renewed from time to time using food-safe wax for wood treatment.
